Mindless advertising

Continuing with the previous post, I was reminded of the new campaign that the Congress is about to launch. It is about to take credit for all the good that has been happening in the recent past including credit for Abhinav Bindra's success as well as Slumdog Millionaire. What are honchos thinking? Does the congress want to celebrate the fact that it has been in power for almost close to 60 years and yet these slums exist? Does it want to celebrate the fact that Congress itself is the reason for these slums? Or does Congress want to celebrate the fact that in spite of being in power for 50 years it has done only so much for sports? God only knows.

truth . but
(1)do you vote during indian polling session ?
(2)so what do you think about advertisement in iitk festivals like Techkriti ?

1)Who do you vote for? Congress, that is running the current campaign? BJP, that ran the India Shining thing? Mayawati? Mulayam Singh Yadav, who ran a similar campaign when he was in power in UP? I have a more basic question to ask. Why do people just bring up this question of 'Did you vote' in answer to any allegations on politics. Why can't the matter be discussed on its merits without any mention of this big word without meaning - vote?

2)What about it? How are you trying to compare the advertising in Techkriti to the propaganda done by the government?

democracy is of the people, for the people and by the people.. and on an average people are such only.. so if you talk about merits and demerits, fair enough from your side.. but you belong to top 0.01% or even more (780).. hehe.. and average people do not care about whether it was something which is done... they care more about what the get to hear and see... so right correlations do not matter that much as compared to projected correlations.. moreover, correlations once said by their gods (read politicians) become the right correlations.. so though the things stated are the best of your knowledge and of my best of knowledge as well.. they are logically correct as well.. but their marketability is as low as the no of people more capable than you.. hehe..

so in the end i always blame democracy.. to hell with of the people, for the people and by the people.. :P

True. Come to think about it - democracy makes sure that everything is average. Nothing will ever be exceptional or even close and nothing will be totally ruined. This is because as a mob we can only be the average of the mob. Hence democracy is good in the sense that we are not left to the whims and fancies of a lunatic dictator even though democracy might not allow phenomenal improvements.

perfectly said.. this leaves the entire society to be served by slightly more than average people.. who are also surrounded by the average people.. its very difficult to convince logically to the average people as there are more sentiments and sensitivity instilled to them by the creator.. so the tantrums are more acceptable by them then the logical plans and actions.. so in the end, that more than average people are also bound to do what the average people term as "good"..

a dictator with managerial and entrepreneurial capabilities is more suited then a democracy.. but then, he is not the representative of masses.. at least difficult for him to become.. hehe...
